*Level I – Gentle class for anybody.  Welcome beginners- good for pre-natal, post-natal, acute or chronic injuries, anxiety, stress (mental, emotional, physical).
*Level II – An invigorating class with more advanced postures, to help you deepen your own practice.  You are always encouraged to go within, work at your own pace and listen to your body’s needs of the moment.

   
CLASSES DESCRIPTIONS

YOGA  - Learn how to integrate mind and body: postures, breath work,  stretching, strengthening & relaxation.   Blend of Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga and Kundalini styles to produce a well balanced class.  Leave feeling centered and energized.  You will always be guided to go within and challenge yourself  at your own pace and level of experience. 

Gentle YOGA – Gentle stretching and toning through seated, standing and lying-down postures - designed to open your hips, strengthen your tissues and invite deep breath, peace and calm into your body. Great for beginners, injuries, pre-natal and post-natal.

MeridianYOGA –The focus is on invigorating postures to control and release the healing flow of energy in the body, while freeing blockages along our body’s energy pathways called meridians - coupled with powerful and energizing Kundalini breathwork.

YOGA form/technique –An active form of yoga based on traditional Ashtanga & Iyengar postures. The emphasis is on breath, technique and alignment, to stretch, strengthen and relax the body. Develop skills to awaken the senses and create body awareness.  Good for all levels.  ** On the first Tuesday of every month, Rhonda offers a Restorative Yoga practice at the regular class time.  Restorative Yoga is a passive practice which requires us to use an assortment of props such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and sometimes chairs. Poses are held for several minutes while the body is supported with the various props. A restorative practice can rest your body, stretch your muscles, lower your heart rate and blood pressure and calm your nervous system, moving you into a state of deep relaxation. Take the time out of your busy life to wind down and recharge your battery.

Sunrise YOGA –
What better way to start your morning than with an invigorating Yoga class! Rise early and let the energizing effects of this mind/body work-out set the tone for the rest of your day.  

YOGA Core –
Empower yourself with various core strengthening Yoga postures. Learn how to strengthen the abdomen, back, arms and legs, while developing flexibility and body awareness.  

YOGA –Chi Kung + Meditation –
Relax the mind and body on a profound level using ancient Chinese techniques from Chi Kung – soothing breath and slow movements are blended with Yoga postures to energize and revitalize the body.  Self-acupressure and meditation will help cultivate balance and peace of mind.       

YOGA for Energy
– A vitalizing and uplifting blend of traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga postures focusing on breath and flow to banish the blues and stimulate mental clarity, balance and inner joy. If you feel tired, lethargic and lacking in energy lately, this class is for you!

Kundalini YOGA- Postures, expressive movements, sounds, breathing patterns and meditation are used to awaken the Kundalini (life-force energy) in each of us, stimulating the higher centers and allowing for enhanced intuition, mental clarity and creative potential. This Yoga is both a physical and meditative discipline that heightens inner awareness.

Healing YOGA- For those living with any form of imbalance in the body - chronic or acute, such as stiff joints, back or neck pain, fibromyalgia, anxiety, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, etc. The focus is on gentle healing yoga postures, longer holds, and deep relaxation through loving attention, guided imagery, breathwork and visualization.

TEEN YOGA – FUN, Challenging, Relaxing…Work up a sweat, get toned, build muscles, enjoy yourself, learn Yoga!  That’s what teen Yoga is all about. Yoga also helps with concentration, focus and clear thinking, so come and give it a try…once you get hooked on Yoga, you won’t look back!

MEDITATION Course – Learn to Meditate5 week session ~ Basic techniques to teach you how to breathe effectively and focus your attention on the ‘now’.  Experience the powerful benefits of meditation: reduce fear-based thinking, panic, anxiety and pain. Increase deep relaxation, feel calmer and more peaceful, sleep better, be more focused and have more energy!  Learn the basics in an intimate small-group setting. (CD included)
Wednesdays ~ 7:30-9:00pm (evening) Fall sessions: Sept. 15-Oct.13, and Nov. 3-Dec. 1,2010

MEDITATION II  - A weekly practice to help you integrate your meditation experiences and make them a regular part of your life.  New ideas will be introduced each week and the focus is on building a compassionate, mindful life practice for your inner journey and transformation.
Thursdays ~ 7:45-9:00pm (evening) 12-weeks
